Job Description

Title: Christian Educator

Reports to: Principal

Part Time: Hourly

Summary: Provide academic and spiritual leadership to students of Spring Hills Christian School.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide classroom instruction in Grades K-11 depending on grade level.
Maintain clear and professional communication with parents.
Employ a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching.
Assess the learning of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records to meet the demands for a comprehensive knowledge of each student’s progress.
Integrate Biblical principles and perspectives throughout all curriculums from a Biblical worldview.
Work with administration to keep parents adequately informed of student discipline.
Prepare adequate information and materials for a substitute teacher.
Support the creation and maintenance of a godly and nurturing environment where God’s love is demonstrated and dignity and respect for each other is pursued.
Perform other duties assigned by Principal.

Spiritual Qualifications:

Must have a personal relationship and be a committed follower of Jesus Christ.
Must regard the Bible as the authoritative guide for life and faith.
Must practice spiritual disciplines of prayer, Bible study, worship, and giving.
Must hold to the mission, vision, and values of Spring Hills Community Church

Proficiency in computer skills including Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Commitment to good interpersonal relationships, teamwork and support of church ministries, and a pleasant personality.
Commitment to confidentiality regarding all records, both of the church and staff, and the members.
Self-Starter.
Flexible.

Education/Experience
